Minooka Community High School announced the formation of an Athletic Hall of Fame.
In a press release, officials expressed excitement for the inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2019.
Throughout numerous decades of athletic competition, MCHS has been represented by many outstanding athletes, coaches, and teams and now the high school has put in place a way to honor those athletes.
The inaugural class will be introduced on Friday, September 13 at the conclusion of the MCHS sophomore game, which begins at 4:30 p.m. and will end at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Some inductees include track state champion Manette Cheshareck, wrestling state champion Reed Perry, former wrestling coach Dave Decker and the 2010 wrestling team that finished first at state.
The Minooka Athletic Hall of Fame Committee will honor the Class of 2019 at a dinner and auction on Saturday, September 14 at Chapin’s East in Minooka.
