A Marseilles man was sentenced in a LaSalle County court case.

The Seneca Police Department said a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Ralph Briggs got into an accident in the area of East 29th Road and River Road in early February. Upon arrival, Seneca Police Officers with the assistance of Grundy County Sheriff’s Office removed Briggs from the vehicle after he had locked himself inside the vehicle, refusing to exit or speak to police officials.

Police officials say Briggs appeared to be intoxicated. Briggs pled guilty to DUI and Driving While License Revoked, both misdemeanors. He was placed on one year of conditional discharge and 60 days in the LaSalle County Jail.
