A man with three prior DUI convictions recently pled guilty in Grundy County. The Grundy County Sheriff’s Department said a vehicle driven by Tyson Kline, 40, of Marseilles struck a power pole on Marseilles Road near Nettle Creek Road on July 8th of 2018.
Police officials say Kline was driving a family member’s vehicle after he crashed his own vehicle in Marseilles on July 7th. Kline was arrested for operating a vehicle not equipped for a blood alcohol ignition interlock device.
The Sheriff’s Office said the vehicle Kline crashed on July 8th was not equipped with a BAIID device. After the crash, more than 200 people north of Seneca were without power.
Kline recently pled guilty to operating a vehicle not equipped for a blood alcohol ignition interlock device, a class four felony and was sentenced to 30 months of conditional discharge.
He was also sentenced to serve 30 days in the Grundy County Jail. Court records show Kline has one DUI conviction in Grundy County and two priors in LaSalle County. More details could be added to this story in the future.
