The Marseilles City Council last week approved several items at their meeting.
The council approved a reimbursement payment of $65,000 to the Marseilles Elementary School District. That payment will come from the TIF 1 fund. The council also approved a bid from Opperman Construction in the amount of $24,000 for Pearl Street improvement drainage at Bluff Street and a $7,800 bid from Grand Rapids Company of Marseilles for drainage improvements at 682 and 704 East Bluff Street.
Meanwhile, City Attorney Richard Burton announced that two changes will be made to the smoking ordinance at the next council meeting.
