A man who threatened to cause harm to a Morris Police Officer was sentenced in Grundy County.
Nicholas Winchester, 38, of Morris pled guilty to threatening a public official, a class three felony and was sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
In February of 2018, Winchester stated to a 911 Dispatcher that he was going to shoot a Morris Police Officer in the nose. In 2010, Winchester was sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on the same charge.
Winchester has four prior convictions for resisting an officer, three prior DUI’s, two battery convictions, Aggravated Battery, criminal damage to property and domestic battery.
