LaSalle County Courts, like surrounding counties, prepare to re-open on Monday with more cases being heard after restrictions lessened court calls because of COVID-19.
LaSalle County Sheriff Tom Templeton issued a statement on re-opening and like others, LaSalle County Courts will mirror Illinois Supreme Court guidelines.
Temperatures will be taken and anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or above will be denied entry and will have their information taken down to notify required parties that the person was at the courthouse.
Additionally, citizens are asked to arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before a hearing and to leave immediately afterward.
Anyone in common areas of the courthouse will be required to wear face masks.
Other comments made in the statement include only having necessary individuals involved in proceedings come into the courthouse and for individuals to only carry necessary items to get through court security quicker.
