Kendall County has been ranked the second most healthy county in Illinois according data released on Wednesday by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. In at number 1 is DuPage County.

Factors considered in the rankings include things like access to exercise equipment, obesity and smoking rates, along with aspects of mental health.

Kendall County scored high on access to medical equipment and having a low amount of people without health insurance. Some areas to improve are in smoking and obesity.

Kane County ranks at number 7 for the whole state. It's strong areas include access to medical equipment and lower injury death. It's areas to improve include adult smoking and obesity, the number of uninsured, and unemployment.

LaSalle County ranks at 59, DeKalb County is ranked at 20, and Grundy County is ranked at 15.
