A Will County man received his sentence for burglarizing a business in Morris.
Morris Police Chief John Severson said Gregory Munoz, 29, of Plainfield broke the glass to the front door of Jimmy John’s on Creek Drive on August 28th of 2017.
Severson said Munoz stole a bag of chips and other items. DNA evidence collected at the scene was compared to Munoz and it matched.
Munoz pled guilty to burglary, a class two felony and was sentenced to 180 days in the Grundy County Jail.
He was also sentenced to three years probation and must pay more than $3,000 in restitution as well as fines and fees. Prosecutors say the $3,000 was paid for by the bond Munoz posted.
