After 39 years as principal at Immaculate Conception School, Kim DesLauriers has chosen to retire from the duties of full time administration at the conclusion of the current school year.

In a Facebook post, DesLauriers said retirement for me does not mean that I no longer want to work. I want to continue providing some form of service to others on a daily basis.

DesLauriers said one of his plans and hopes is to continue to help the school and parish in any way he can. He also stated on Facebook, "when we moved to our current home, I told Mrs. D that my next move would be to Mt. Carmel Cemetery. I love where we live."

DesLauriers said he is blessed to have worked with such wonderful people all these years. There was never a day that he didn't look forward to coming to school and seeing the people who make up the I.C.S. family.
