One of four individuals from Braidwood, who allegedy burglarized a house in the 100 block of West Wilmington Street in Gardner has pleaded guilty.
Grundy County Sheriff Ken Briley said the burglary occurred on May 28th.
Thirty-one year-old Alex Murphy and 22-year-old Casey Kloeckner were the two individuals seen leaving the residence through the window. Briley said the vehicle registered to a home in Braidwood.
Murphy, Kloeckner and 28-year-old Kevin Mabe were later located at the Braidwood residence. Briley said video games and miscellaneous items were stolen. Kloeckner, Mabe and Murphy have been charged with residential burglary, a class one felony.
In a Grundy County courtroom this week, Kloeckner pled guilty to residential burglary and was placed on five years of TASC probation. TASC or Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities is an intensive drug treatment that is required as a condition of probation. He was given credit for serving 86 days in the Grundy County Jail.
Meanwhile, 23-year-old Donald Ballard was recently indicted for his role in the crime and is wanted by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department. The court cases for Mabe and Murphy remain ongoing.
