A missing rural Morris man has been found safe in Missouri. That’s according to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office as they made the announcement on Thursday morning.

Police officials say 47-year-old Scott Cleeton was reported missing on August 10th and his last contact with family was on August 1st.  Through follow-up investigations utilizing financial records, Cleeton was believed to be traveling along the Mississippi River area in his vehicle.

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in locating Cleeton. Police officials say Cleeton’s family has been notified of his whereabouts and have been in contact with him.
