The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office has released more details in regards to a serious two vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Jugtown Road and McArdle Road around 4:40 p.m. on November 20th.

Police officials say a 17-year-old was traveling eastbound on McArdle Road, failed to stop for the the stop sign at Jugtown road and then struck a southbound vehicle driven by Jonathan Englert, 20, of Diamond.

Englert was transported to good Samaritan Hospital via Life Star helicopter. The juvenile and a passenger in Englert’s vehicle was transported to Morris Hospital for their injuries.

The juvenile was cited for disobeying a stop sign and given a court date.
