Several less fortunate kids in Grundy County will be shopping with a local hero next week.
Grundy County Sheriff’s Sergeant Paul Clampitt was on WCSJ’s People are Talking last week explaining the details.
The winner of the $3,000 draw-down was State Senator Sue Rezin, who was also in our studios. Clampitt said around $150 will be spent on each kid. He also said several police, fire and EMS members from Grundy County will serve as the heroes.
Grundy County Sheriff Ken Briley said the selected kids and families members will meet at Morris Wal-Mart around 11 a.m. to shop for their gifts and then have lunch with Santa afterwards at Morris VFW.
