The Grundy County Emergency Management Agency released weather figures for the month of September.

Grundy County EMA Director Joe Schroeder said the highest daily temperature came on September 12 when it reached 92 degrees.

Two weeks later, the lowest daily temperature was recorded on September 26 when it dropped to 53.9 degrees.

The average monthly temperature, according to a monthly data summary report provided by emergency management officials, was 70 degrees.

There was only one day during the month of September when the temperature reached over 90 degrees.

The total liquid precipitation for the month was 14.78 inches, bringing the total for 2019 to 50.68 inches.

Schroeder reported 16 days with measurable rain, and the speed of peak wind gust for the month fell on September 27 when winds reached 46 miles per hour.
