The Grundy County Board last week approved placing on file eleven tax levies.

Board Chairman Chris Balkema said the county will be asking for less money this year than last year.

He would like to see this trend continue in the future.

The general fund levy was $5.2 million, Unemployment Insurance Fund equals $10,000, Social Security Fund was $750,000, Bond and Interest Fund equates to $1.4 million, County Highway Fund is $2.1 million, Federal Aid Matching Fund was $875,000, County Bridge Fund equals $400,000, Liability Insurance Fund was $1.65 million, Tuberculosis Fund equals $10,000 and IMRF Fund was $1.5 million. The final levies will be approved in December.
