The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a free hunter safety course.
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources approved course will take place Saturday, October 5 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – with participants required to show up to both days for certification.
The course is held at the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office located at 111 East Illinois Avenue in Morris.
Anyone born on or after January 1, 1980, may not be issued a hunting license unless he or she presents a valid Hunter Education Certificate of Competency issued by the IDNR’s Safety Education Division.
