Two more individuals died from Covid-19 in Grundy County this week. The Grundy County Health Department said 12 people have died from Covid-19 and each individual lived underlying health conditions.
The individuals included one male in his 60’s, four males and a female in their 70’s, two females and one male in their 80’s and three males in their 90’s. In total, 1,869 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Grundy County and the health department is following 391 actives cases.
Health Administrator Michelle Pruim gave an update on the current mitigations during the Grundy County Board of Health meeting this past Wednesday.
Health Board President Dean Marketti said a conference call was recently held with local officials.
Marketti said some bars and restaurants are still not following the latest mitigations.
He said health officials feel like they are up against a brick wall with some of the businesses not complying.
The health department also said Grundy County remains at an “orange” warning level this week.
In the past week, Grundy County’s test positivity rate is 25 percent, 979 people tested positive and 2005 tests were conducted.
