A 34-year-old Gardner man was arrested after a traffic stop was conducted by the Braidwood Police Department in Braidwood around 9:45 p.m. on September 9th.
The Braidwood Police Department said Sean Winters was pulled over due to the officer believing he may have been driving under the influence. The officer requested Winters step out of the vehicle for field sobriety test as he then located a loaded firearm under the driver’s seat.
Winters was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, a class three felony, manufacturing and delivering between 30 and 500 grams of cannabis, a class three felony and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, a class four felony.
Police officials say an undisclosed amount of money was seized from Winters. Braidwood was assisted by the Will County Sheriff’s Department. Winters remains in the Will County Jail.
