The Gardner Village Board on Monday had a long discussion regarding the sale of recreational cannabis.
Gardner Mayor Mike Serena told WCSJ that no action was taken on the topic, but could in December.
He said the board approved the fiscal year 2020 tax levy, the appointment of Justin Hartley to the Planning and Zoning Board, and the 2020 meeting schedule for the village board and the planning and zoning board.
Serena also wanted to remind everyone of the tree lighting ceremony which starts this Sunday at 6 p.m. The festival of trees will be held at the first Midwest Bank in downtown Gardner the same night and there will be a dedication of the town clock that was donated from funds generated from the past festival of trees. This will happen after the tree lighting ceremony.
