Kendall-Grundy Farm Bureau Manager Victoria Wax was on WCSJ this week to give an update local and state agriculture.
Wax said this planting season has gotten off to a much better start compared to 2019.
Wax also had good news for the animal products industry, sharing that all Illinois meat packing plants have reopened. These plants are operating at 70% capacity on average, which will mean continued high prices and shortages of meat in grocery stores.
