Several felony charges were filed against a Dwight man with a history of domestic battery convictions.
Daniel McMeen, 30, of Dwight is accused of battering and strangling a female household member in the 500 block of North Clinton Street in Dwight around 1:40 a.m. on January 21st.
Police officials say McMeen also allegedly held the female against her will. McMeen was arrested by the Dwight Police Department and transported to the Livingston County Jail where he was released on a $15,000 bond.
McMeen was charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery/Strangulation, a class two felony; two counts of domestic battery while havng a prior conviction and unlawful restraint, all class four felonies.
He has also been charged with endangering the life or health of a child, a class A misdemeanor.
McMeen has two prior domestic battery convictions in Livingston County – one in 2012 and in 2013.
