No one was injured after a vehicle went into a house in the 200 block of South Kankakee Street in Coal City around 1:15 p.m. on December 5th.
Coal City Police Sergeant Tom Logan said a vehicle driven by a 46-year-old Coal City woman was southbound in the 200 block of Kankakee Street when she struck the southeast corner of a house.
Logan said the woman suffered a medical emergency which prompted her to drive into the house. She was treated at the scene.
Coal City Fire Lieutenant Nick Doerfler said the vehicle also sheered a gas meter near the house, forcing a small gas leak.
Doerfler said no one was home at the time, but a dog inside was rescued and treated due to the gas. The Coal City Building Department is working with the homeowner on the damages.
