The Diamond Village Board on Tuesday heard an update on their intentions to submit a grant application to be considered for Surface Transportation Program funds.
Board action is meant to help the village acquire funding to help pay for Will Road improvements. Diamond Mayor Terry Kernc had this to say.
Several commissioners said they are on board with the village pursuing the grant funding. Officials would like to get the project started as soon as it’s possible. The improvements are anticipated to cost the village about $7.5 million.
