The Crisis Line of Will and Grundy Counties will be closing on November 30, 2020 citing financial hardship, declining revenues, and lack of resources; which reportedly resulted in many logistical challenges for the non-profit agency.

“We were very sad to make this decision,” said Michele Batara, Crisis Line Executive Director. “Unfortunately, we cannot continue to operate with the resources we have available now,” she said.

“For many years, the Crisis Line of Will and Grundy Counties has helped individuals and families in Grundy County find resources, information, referrals, and wellness calls as a United Way of Grundy County funded Community Partner Agency,” stated Karen Nall, United Way of Grundy County Executive Director. “Their staff and volunteers were dedicated in providing vital help for those in need and we are truly saddened by the news of their closing.”
