The Morris Police Department on Wednesday arrested a convicted sexual predator.
William Linden, 76, of Gardner was indicted on two counts of unlawful presence by a convicted sex offender within a school zone, both class four felonies.
Investigators say Linden was allegedly within 500 feet of a school in Morris on two separate dates when he was not supposed to be in late October.
According to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry, Linden was convicted of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse out of Texas in 1999.
The victim was under the age of six at the time. Linden remains in the Grundy County Jail.
