The Coal City Village Board recently approved a four-year contract extension with Village Administrator Matt Fritz.

In year one of his contract extension, Fritz will receive a three percent increase bringing his salary to $120,000.

In years two and three year of the contract, Fritz will receive five percent increases each year and then a three percent rise in the fourth year, when his salary will total $136,000.

Village officials also say Fritz will receive an increase in his automobile stipend from $100 to $500 per month and a boost in his retirement plan.

Fritz has been with Village of Coal City since 2008.
