Coal City Receives Money To Help Pay Off Portion of Tornado Debt

The Coal City Village Board on Monday heard great news about their outstanding tornado debt.

The board held a public hearing in regards to the debt and then approved a resolution to abate a portion of the 2019 levy for tornado funds.

Village Administrator Matt Fritz explains the resolution.

Coal City Mayor Terry Halliday wanted to thank Congressman Adam Kinzinger for his efforts in securing the $92,000.
