Jack Micetich with Coal City High School called into the WCSJ Studios to discuss the upcoming fall play. Alice in Wonderland will premiere Thursday, October 14th at 7 p.m. in Carbon Hill Park.

Additional performances will be held Saturday and Sunday, also at 7 p.m. The plot is based on the Lewis Carrol’s 1865 children’s novel and features Alice, portrayed by senior McKenna Patten, and the White Rabbit, portrayed by senior Eli Fritz.

Audience members are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs to be comfortable during the performances. Micetich said Alice in Wonderland was chosen this year because he felt it could work well outdoors.

Micetich said although being outdoors creates many challenges for the department, it also has given them an opportunity to experiment creatively.
