The Grundy County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday arrested a local man wanted on four warrants.
In August of 2019, Shaun Cailey, 31, of Channahon was indicted by a Grundy County grand jury on two counts of Aggravated Battery, both class three felonies.
The indictment alleges that Cailey threw a man to the ground causing a facial fracture at a liquor establishment along Route 47 in Morris last March. The Grundy County Sheriff’s Department investigated the case.
Meanwhile, Cailey was also wanted on a felony LaSalle County warrant for harassment and by the Illinois Department of Corrections for violating his parole.
Cailey was sentenced to three years in prison for Aggravated Battery in 2007, two years for domestic battery in 2013 and 30 months for domestic battery in 2015.
All those convictions were in Grundy County. He remains in the Grundy County Jail.
