The Channahon Village Board this week approved paying their share to join bike paths with one in Minooka.
Channahon and Minooka will each pay $59,033, or 34 percent, for their share of engineering for the path along McEvilley Road.
Channahon Township Highway Department, Will County, and the Will County Forest Preserve District will also contribute.
Trustees Monday also approved naming current Channahon water operator Jeff Barrett as Utilities and Streets Superintendent at an annual salary of $90,000.
Barrett will replace former Superintendent Bruce Vaickus, who recently retired.
