The Illinois State Police arrested the mayor of Braidwood following a DUI related crash on November 24th.
According to published reports, a vehicle driven by Robert Jones, 58, of Braidwood was heading southbound on Route 53 near Coal City Road south of Wilmington in Will County when he allegedly rear-ended a Chevy Cruz, which then struck a Chevy Sedan.
The report stated three people in total were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Jones was arrested for DUI.
Jones was elected as the mayor of Braidwood in April of 2019. More details will be added to this story.
