The Channahon State of the Village Address was held at the Four Rivers Environmental Center in Channahon on Thursday.
Mayor Missey Moorman Schumacher gave her Village Address and presented three awards. The Business of the Year went to Hush Salon on Sage, Citizen of the Year was Joi Walker and Adam Nelli was named Channahon Police Officer of the Year.
Nelli has been with the Channahon Police Department since 2019. He graduated the Illinois State Police Academy in December of 2019. Officer Nelli was a cadet with the Channahon Police Department for several years before joining the National Guard.
