A Will County man accused of delivering more than four pounds of cannabis was arrested by the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office on January 19th.
A LaSalle County grand jury last March indicted David Borchardt, 40, of Joliet on the charge of manufacturing and delivering between 2000 and 5000 grams of cannabis, a class one felony.
He is accused of selling at least four or more pounds of cannabis somewhere in the LaSalle County area, but a specific address was not listed. After the indictment, a LaSalle County warrant was issued for his arrest.
Borchardt was arrested on that warrant after a traffic stop was conducted on Route 6 near East 2625th Road, just east of Marseilles around 1 a.m. on January 19th.
Police officials say Borchardt was a passenger in a vehicle that officers had stopped for traffic violations. Borchardt remains in the LaSalle County Jail on a $1 million bond.
