The Kendall County Sheriff's Office says it will hold an informational community meeting in Boulder Hill, following multiple shootings in the unincorporated community in the past few weeks.
The sheriff's office said in a post on Monday that the meeting will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Neighborhood Church of the Brethren in the 100 block of Boulder Hill Pass.
Residents of Boulder Hill are invited. The meeting will be held in the sanctuary area.
On Saturday, the sheriff's office announced charges against 20 year-old Kenzail Marshawn Taylor of Sherman Ave. in Aurora and 19 year-old Nikko Najee Muhammad of 4th Street in Aurora who both face a felony count each of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm for a shooting that occurred Friday on Amesbury Rd.
On January 17th, 27 year-old Ricard Chairez died after he was shot on in the 0 to 100 block of Chatam Pl.
Several other shootings in Boulder Hill occurred in 2017, as well.
